CloneCatcher is a Fraud Management Solution for wireless carriers. It is a centralized server application that works
in conjunction with NetQuest’s Net(s)CCS and NetAnalyzer [patented accurate CDR/TDR (call and IS-41 transaction
records) generation obtained directly from SS7, IP and ATM network] to perform “Real-Time” velocity calculations to
identify potentially fraudulent activity, even before the call is made.
The wireless carriers that experience fraudulent cloning now have an answer and can stop the revenue leakage, thereby
enhancing profitability.
Catching cloned phones and illegal activity in the wireless network is an on-going battle that has cost carriers
millions of dollars. Even with protocol enhancements, cloning still occurs and costs carriers millions in lost
revenues. In an effort to
solve this situation, CloneCatcher has been deployed with resounding success in identifying and preventing fraud
from taking place.
NetQuest’s CloneCatcher is a centralized server fraud management application that processes correlated and
translated registration and deregistration message data between HLRs and VLRs. "Real Time" velocity calculations
are used between sequential IS-41 message Point Code or MSCID entries to immediately flag unrealistic conditions.
Another indication of potentially fraudulent activity is extremely high registration and deregistration counts from
non-contiguous territories. Complete display information with detailed analysis is provided including the ability
to scroll roamer activity in handling customer complaints or deciding whether to discontinue service.

Tekno Telecom’s NetQuest, the front-end component utilizing patented hardware and software [Net(s)CCS and
NetAnalyzer], non-intrusively connects to multiple high-speed ATM, SS7 and Ethernet links to decode and correlate
ATM cells, SS7 MSUs, and IP packets, etc. This decoded and correlated information is then processed into IS-41
transaction detail records (TDRs) with 100% accuracy in "real-time." The CloneCatcher centralized server collects
the processed IS-41 transactions and measures velocity calculations and does fraud management analysis. This
multi-user environment provides carriers with the ability to identify fraud before it costs.
Carriers that have fraud in their wireless network and want to stop the revenue leakage have an inexpensive answer
available, NetQuest’s CloneCatcher.
