Tekno Telecom, a high-tech telecommunications company, is seeking a Telecommunications Application Support Engineer for its customer service group based in Naperville, IL.
Tekno is a market-leader in Network Management of Telecom SS7 and VOIP networks focused on QoS, Billing, Fraud, Troubleshooting, Surveillance, Network Optimization and Revenue Assurance.
Tekno markets its products to telephony Wireline, Wireless and Next-Generation Network Carriers.
Requirements
Must have an understanding of telephone switching systems, network management and technologies such as SS7, surveillance, QoS, Billing, Fraud, Revenue Assurance and Network Optimization. Must have a basic understanding of databases such as Oracle or SQL.
The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in LAN/WAN and Network Operating Systems (including routers, hubs and servers); Operating Systems (Windows XP Pro, 2003/8 Server and Client) and be able to troubleshoot TCP/IP connectivity. Must have an understanding of Microsoft Application programs and provide support ranging from beginning to advanced.
Requires strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must be willing to do light travel (nationwide) as required. Must be a resourceful self-starter and a highly-detailed individual.
