Founded in 1988, Onvoy is Minnesota's leading telecommunications provider and operator of the state's largest privately-owned data network. Onvoy is credited with introducing advanced telecommunications services to rural Minnesota, is recognized as the state's first Internet Service Provider, and is positioning the Upper Midwest on the forefront of technology once again through its latest service offering - Converged IP Services. Onvoy's Converged IP Services are delivered over an Internet Protocol network platform where all services - voice, video, data and Internet - are moved over a common backbone, creating the most efficient network for businesses.
Onvoy will use Tekno Telecom's system to provide network monitoring of its Signal Transfer Point's (STP) SS7 links and utilize Tekno Telecom's applications for Inter-Carrier Billing and Validation, Quality of Service, Network Troubleshooting, Surveillance, Traffic Engineering, Marketing Studies and Revenue Assurance.
"Onvoy is excited to begin utilizing the surveillance and trouble shooting capabilities of the LinkQuest system," said Mike Styba, Director of Operations at Onvoy. "The system will allow us to have precise SS7 signaling data, so that Onvoy can generate accurate internal and external reports, and provide value-added information to our customers."
"Onvoy's purchase of the NetQuest SS7 Network Monitoring system will provide accurate quantitative and definitive inter-carrier and inter-connect usage analysis. We are pleased to provide these advanced solutions to Onvoy," said Sam Galler, Vice President of Sales at Tekno Telecom. "Today's need for harvesting the information that is contained within the carriers' networks will significantly impact their bottom lines in a positive fashion.
