Syringa Networks Chooses Tekno Telecom's
NetQUEST System for
SS7 Network Knowledge and Surveillance
Naperville, IL - November 17, 2003 - The Syringa Networks Operations Center contains comprehensive maintenance programs and monitoring systems. Using the latest in monitoring and maintenance technology, Syringa Networks' technicians can make real-time changes and decisions to SS7, ATM, and Frame Relay VC's and PVC's, allowing their customers the ultimate in flexibility.
"With choosing Tekno's NetQUEST system, we now have additional enhanced capabilities for monitoring and capturing Call Detail Records and details on our SS7 network for use in day-to-day operations. The system allows us to utilize correlated SS7 decodes and reporting capabilities to provide assistance in problem isolation and resolution," said Bill McEachern, Senior Network Operations Engineer at Syringa Networks. Bill also stated, "The system can be added to and upgraded as needed for new SS7 links. Additional applications can also be added upon Syringa's request. This was a major decision point for choosing Tekno's solution over the competition."
"The decision for Tekno was based on the proof that a turnkey SS7 network-monitoring device can be leveraged by a number of different departments within Syringa such as Billing, Engineering, Regulatory and Operations. We will be using the system for generating reports for calls, Minutes of Use, Message Counts, Transaction details along with the storing of the daily calls for use in inter-carrier billing verification and validation, stated Steve Wagner, Network Operations Manager of Syringa Networks. Steve Wagner also stated, "We had a requirement due to our network and business model to provide an enhanced network monitoring, surveillance and knowledge capability to ourselves and our membership owners. Tekno's solution was the best fit for Syringa compared to Tekno's competitors, and we are making sure that our network operations center is retrofitted with the best tools in the industry."

About Tekno Telecom, LLC
Tekno started in 1968 in the telecom sector and has installed over 10,000 systems worldwide. Migrating from call accounting systems to traffic management solutions (which front-ended switches) to call completion systems, Tekno has been a pillar of telecom network management, maintenance, and revenue assurance solutions, focusing on high return on investment systems for wireline, wireless and next-generation carriers. Tekno has consistently brought to market products that were more advanced and accurate than its larger competitors. The engineering team has generated numerous patents, which today allows us to offer supremely efficient and accurate systems necessary for today’s carriers to confidently know what is occurring in their networks in order to solve problems and collect the revenues due to them. Tekno’s focus has consistently relied on data/information collected, not from the switch, but directly from the network (MF, SS7, ATM, and IP, etc.). Network data is rich in information and Tekno’s products use advanced techniques to extract and correlate this tremendous amount of data into useful information for the carriers. Most importantly, Tekno is on the cutting edge of technology and is ready for today’s newest networks while still supporting legacy telecom networks.
